  • Domain:
  • Gunsmithing

This course introduces students to some of the skills and knowledge required to carry out Technological Object Conservation & Restoration.Although this unit is from the Gunsmithing domain, it applies to other technological object conservation/restoration systems and processes and includes the safety aspect of these processes. These units are designed for people planning to work as technological object conservation/restoration professionals, e.g. Museum Curators, gunsmiths, Antique Conservators. The level of skill required to complete these units is very challenging so we do not anticipate students achieving full credit. However, this programme will assist students who wish to work towards completion of these units at a later date.NEXT STEP: Further education and training
